To our CityLaw / CountyLaw Desktop users:
We have some important news to share with you! At the end of 2020 we will be discontinuing development on CityLaw / CountyLaw Desktop (CLD). Your installation of CLD will continue to function, however we will no longer release updates to the software and future updates to Microsoft Office and Windows may introduce performance issues.
Free Upgrade to CityLaw / CountyLaw Web Version
We strongly recommend you upgrade to an on-premise installation of CityLaw / CountyLaw Web (CLW). This upgrade is available free of charge to all our customers with a current Support and Maintenance plan.
We suggest you contact us right away to schedule a discussion with your IT Department and System Admin about the requirements for moving to the Web version.
What needs to be done?
Upgrading from CLD to CLW is a straight-forward process, but it will require assistance from your IT department.
- Schedule an Upgrade Discussion to plan your upgrade
- Attend the Upgrade Discussion with a member of your IT department
- Schedule a Go-Live date with your office for CityLaw Web
To upgrade to the Web version, the Desktop version needs to be upgraded to the latest release. You may require additional hardware as well. Please review our hardware requirements on this page: Technical Specifications.
Benefits of the Upgrade

CLW is an on-premise solution, just like CLD, which means it is only accessible from your office network, and any location made available by your IT department.
