How are documents stored in CityLaw / CountyLaw?
CityLaw / CountyLaw doesn’t embed documents in the database, but rather integrates with a File Share location such as a file server or shared hard drive. The database contains pointers to the location of the documents on the file server.
Does CityLaw / CountyLaw integrate with any document storage platforms, like Laserfiche?
We have an integration with the OnBase document management system (by Hyland).
How does "purging" and/or "archiving" of case files work in CityLaw / CountyLaw?
An archive location can be specified in the system and documents can be archived on an individual document by document basis, or all documents on a matter, or even all documents on all matters matching user specified criteria. Alternatively, selected documents can be deleted from cases, or they can be deleted based on document retention policies established by users. Finally, the system allows for recovery of deleted documents (and even “un-archiving”), based on a setting for the number of days for deleted document recovery.
